Executive team

Dr. Jorge Sarroca has nearly 40 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He founded Medisys, Spain’s first CRO, and expanded it into one of Europe’s first CRO Alliances with The Gabbay Group, later acquired by PPD. As Spain’s Country Manager at PPD, he participated in more than 250 clinical studies.

He then joined Pfizer’s European Biometrics Center and later transitioned to Medical Affairs roles at Esteve-Teijin, Alexion, and Almirall before becoming General Manager at Alcura Health.

Dr. Sarroca served on the board of AMIFE for three terms and was the first lead of the Spanish Charter of the Medical Affairs Society. Passionate about education, he is an Associate Professor at Pompeu Fabra University and collaborates with other institutions.

Key milestones in his career include founding Spain's first CRO, filing an IND for xenon for neuroprotection, introducing telemedicine in Home Respiratory Therapies, co-chairing a project for home respiratory rehabilitation, and developing innovative concepts in multiple sclerosis treatment.
